Miracles of Aloevera 芦荟的神奇用法

I won't believe that Aloe vera is capable of blooming until I witnessed it once years ago. The plant that we had for years bloomed once with a huge appealing white flower for a day (*How lucky!*). It was believed that this type of plant will bloom only when it was well taken care of (credit to my aunt who loves gardening).

This humble looking plant isn't there in the garden for decoration purpose, we somehow have some "ulterior" motive on it, yes, we consume it. Usually we turn it into a dessert or a drink. Base on our understanding about the plant, it functions more as a cooling drink that cools down the heat of the body and its plausible effect of easing constipation, which is competent to papaya.

Now revealing my discovery, I have found an article on the miracle usages of Aloe vera published by Fu Hui issue 7 and surprised to know that this plant with inconspicuous appearance has so many magnificent usage. In excitement, I can't wait to share this with you. Below is the article extracted in Chinese.

Way to go Aloe!

Under the Mercy of Time 光阴无情

I recently read a short poem below originated from 11/2004 issue of Digital Family of Mexico. It reminds me a cruel yet realistic fact that we are all under the mercy of time.

There was once a famous millionaire told the world that he would do anything or give up all of his wealth to trade for 30 years of time.Well, it seems that the world rotates around money but time and death rotate us all.

In melancholic tone, the poem utters the inner voice of all folks and parents, which who knows that one day it may be ours. This well written poem was one of my favourite poems, the second after "If" by R.K., due to its realistic feature and it's main objective of reminding descendants or the younger generations to put more patients and love in treating their folks and other senior citizens. Most important, it also reflects the selfless love that we received from our folks.

With abundance of gratitude to all parents, Happy Parents' Day.
